The natural world
May. 19th, 2007 08:59 pmI haven't been taking many pictures recently, despite the profusion of flora and fauna that came with spring. The ones I have been taking have been mostly uninspired and not worth the time to resize and upload. But these three are pretty good.

A cardinal's nest from early April. As far as I can tell, none of the eggs hatched. It's now too overgrown to be able to get back there and investigate, but almost two months have gone by, and there haven't been any cardinal chicks, so.

Baby robin! S/he was learning to fly today. It and its sibling might actually make it to adulthood without getting mauled by Cricket, if we keep up with only letting the dogs out for supervised periods.

The moon and Venus, taken tonight.
