Amusingly, the doctor at the little one-off injury/infection clinic I went to today saw fit to give me a morphine derivative for (yet another @#$%ing) sinus infection.

Every time I get one of these I seem to get more drugs along with the antibiotics. He gave me a decongestant as well, which seems standard over here. (It's not in England, where I first started getting them.) All of that seems like overkill, since the antibiotics tend to clear things up in about three days. Although then again, if this headache gets any worse, I may well resort to the super-duper pain meds. I'm back at the "wanting to self-trepan to get the evil demon in the right half of my forehead and behind my right eye out" stage.

...How's everyone else's Labor Day Weekend going?

I highly recommend the self-trepanation. Just make sure you get it on film... I mean, um, I'm totally not bored and in need of entertainment at all...

yergh, sinus infection. I get those far too often. I think they got oversensitized in that region after this time two years ago where the next door neighboors cleared their acre or two of every tree and twig and burned the yeard waste for about 4 months straight. I find an extreme steam treatment in the shower works wonders, at least while in the shower.

feel better soon!

when I get sinus infections, I take the antibiotic and when they cause me to have migraines (often how I know I have a sinus infection) and I take a narcotic for them - Fiornial C 1/2 - anything less doesn't work for me, unfortunately. I like it because I don't feel too out of it, especially if I have eaten, tho it has one side effect that is annoying, but I won't mention it as it's tmi ;) I usually don't get stuffed up - I take Nasonex for my allergies and to help my asthma (keeps me from having a runny nose and coughing...), so it's usually the series of migraines that let me know I have a sinus infection. yay....did I mention that I get the sinus infections because I have polyps in my sinuses that are due to my allergies? yay....and end my rant....just wanted to let you know that you're not alone!
