Somebody has grad school on the brain, methinks. Perhaps not intentionally but...dude. Not that I can comment, considering that my last venture to the library ended up bringing home Pamela (unintentionally hilarious), Crime and Punishment (which I tried to read in Australia but freaked out of about a quarter of the way in), The Aventures of Tom Sawyer, and Tess of the D/Urbervilles. None of which, I might add, have anything to do with what I'm studying.
I applaud you for attempting Emma. Even as an Austen fan, however, I must say that reading it was vaguely tortuous. The girls definitely don't simper, though. Except maybe Harriet.
