I had to go to volleyball so I've only seen about 10 minutes of the middle-ish so far, and I'm kinda sorta trying to not read spoilers, but -

Not thrilled with the rehashing of last week for several minutes even though we had a freakin' previously-on, but hopefully that'll go away soon.

Maybe they were wary of the network deciding "oh hey, we don't need to show the pilot! We'll just start with ... THIS episode!" as they're wont to do all too often nowadays? So the writers built the rehashing in as a just-in-case?
