Well, this fall is unusual because of the drought and heat wave that really only ended about two weeks ago. Usually fall starts in the secondish week of October--I remember that every October when I was little, we used to buy these leaf/yard waste bags with jack o' lantern faces painted on them and use them as Halloween decorations, and there were always enough leaves to fill at least a couple of them. The leaves this year have really only started to fall in the past week or so.
No pictures of our candles, sadly. I, being the consumate twenty-first century citizen, found it to be more of an inconvenience than anything, because I had to sit in a hard dining room chair to read rather than lie on my comfy bed. *pout*
