I kind of feel like everyone wrote Star Trek fic of some sort as a teenager. It's a gateway drug.

Now I get to do all the things that never ever occurred to me when I was first involved in that fandom.

YES. Ten years later, things often look either much worse or much better than they did when in the throes of teenaged angst.
