Alas, of the ten or so (I believe) students Vanderbilt accepted to its English doctoral program, I was not one of them.

...I can't say as that surprises me. In fact, had I not received a rejection e-mail, I might have fainted. And then fainted again once I revived. Ah, well, better luck with the rest of them!

(Also, 5-hour meeting OF DOOM today. My brain is officially fried. And part two is next month. Ugh...)

lol... If Dr. Plummer is still there, then I will join in your well wishes. :) Sorry to hear you didn't get in, but perhaps, it will give you some time to let your brain rest. ;)

Woah, I didn't realize you were going all DOCTORAL and stuff, I thought it was just a Masters. 'Cause doctoral is all like, woah-six-years-of-crazy! and all.

Even so, rejections are le crap. Go buy some bananas and nutella and make it all better.

I have the same numbers right now. It's still depressing, no matter how much you expected it. Any idea when you hear back from your other three?

...crepes

::mouth waters::

You know, it just so happens, there is a crepperie(sp?) at the mall by our town. I'll have to, err, test them, before you guys visit.

If your brain is gloop, than mine must be glap. It's not a pretty site, and hard to clean up with a mop. I'll keep my fingers crossed for the other three for you.

Someone rejected you? Are they insane?

:) That made me feel better. Thank you.

Yeah, there was a tiny part of me that entertaining a miniscule bit of hope, which has now been crushed into powder...

Ahh, but now the hope-powder will be made into compost to fertilize future hopes. It's the circle of rejection life.

Sometime this month, possibly as late as the beginning of April. Same for you?

UC says this week sometime (eeeeeeek) [1]. Minnesota and Iowa both say decisions will be made "once [my] file has been reviewed," which is SO HELPFUL.
