My real bet is that Sharon was designated as 8 before any of this Final Five stuff was ever a twinkle in RDM's eye. ;)

I would be irritated at the buildup with Hera if it turns out Lee is the first hybrid. Yes, the Significant Seven might not know that and thus be making a big deal out of Hera, but it would render irrelevant all the hoopla surrounding her as far as a dramatic arc goes.
