*makes notes about CARFAX* Carmax's website has a free vehicle history report, but I did notice that pretty much none of the cars I checked were ever in any kind of accident or had any sort of problem whatsoever, which makes me a bit mistrustful. (Of course, most of them are rental fleet cars without much mileage, so it's just possible that none of the twenty or so I checked on had had problems.) That one-month pass sounds like a good idea.

(Yes, other brands may be cheaper, but you wind up paying more over time with all the repairs they need.)

That's my conclusion as well. Also, I'm totally willing to pay more for peace of mind.
