I ordered my ballroom shoes online from a place called All About Dance, so of course they now send me their catalogue every few months. I know why this is the case, but I always find it amusing that out of a 78-page catalogue that sells everything from shoes/tights/leotards to pointe shoe cushions and dance jewelery, there are exactly one and a half pages devoted to products that are meant for or can be used by men.

I find it annoying that they have a Latin shoe with a 1.5" heel for fifteen bucks less than I paid for my 2.5"-heel. Sigh. The ones I got were a great deal, but dude, these are even cheaper. And I always overbalance on mine, which is why I hate heels.

Watched the DVD of You've Got Mail earlier this afternoon. (Lots of TV in a very short amount of time...eeeyurg...) Will watch extras later tonight.

I know a lot of people aren't too fond of YGM, or at least think that Sleepless in Seattle is better, but it just pushes all of my buttons. When Kathleen is going on about how she always agonizes over whether Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy will end up together when she re-reads Pride and Prejudice, I'm right there with her as far as this film goes. As far as P&P goes, too, come to think of it. Plus it's about books, from writing them to editing them to selling them to reading them, and it involves e-mail. That's my life in a nutshell (or it will be when I get out of school, anyway, I hope). And while I may not be quite as peppy as Kathleen (and I definitely don't like children as much), we both sosrt of romanticize life and need dashes of reality once in a while to keep us from floating away. Not to mention that I've had her "I keep seeing things in real life that remind me of something that I read in a book, when shouldn't it be the other way around?" conversation with myself far, far too often.

Hmmm. Self-actualization through romantic comedy. Interesting.

I will soon have a very pretty new layout for my main and splash pages at my website. Putting final finishing touches on it at the moment. Wishing that there was a way in GoLive to make an image map be composed of multiple rollovers, but I don't think that's possible, so I'm going with one big rollover for the whole image map. You'll understand when I upload it. ;)
