Season 1 has pretty consistent quality. A few episodes were bad, but there were more than enough delightful ones to balance them out.

Brennan/Bones/Temperance/whatever she actually goes by is even more socially awkward than I am, which is comforting and horrifying at the same time
The Awkward is one of the key reasons for my love. Unrealistic at times (EVERYONE UNDER EVERY ROCK HAS HEARD OF MULDER AND SCULLY ESPECIALLY FORENSIC NOVELISTS!!!), but lovable nonetheless.
I'm kind of shocked that David Borwhatshisname isn't imitating a plank of wood
I know!! He grew acting skills since Buffy! Who knew??
I thought the bone lackeys were funny, but they seemed a bit scripted (maybe it's the pilotness of it);
