Bones S2 stuff
Nov. 16th, 2008 12:21 am- Hodgins's and Angela's date was so cute! He kissed her on the swings! Awwwww. If only they could have just been all sweet in the background from that moment on. But noooo, Ange had to smoosh his puppy, and her puppy in the process (you know she cried herself to sleep that night). Booo. Perhaps in a few more episodes one of them will be in imminent peril and they'll realize they shouldn't have given up like that? (Also, is it just me, or is no one really that altruistic about denying themselves a romance because it might eventually end badly and maybe might impact other workplace relationships? Maybe I'm selfish, but I have to say, if I were Angela, I would've said yes to that date as soon as Hodgins asked the first time.)
- I think they ended all the episodes on this disc with a moment between Booth and Brennan where you could just see them getting closer and closer and then thinking, "Oh crap, line not to be crossed, better back away now..." *sigh* Just kiss each other already. It'll make you feel less tense.
- I was spoiled for Booth and Cam--and to be honest, it was pretty inevitable from the first episode of this season--and at the moment...I have no real thoughts on it. It's got to go one of two ways: either it's there to manufacture a love triangle or to make Booth realize his Twu Wuv for Brennan. My money would ordinarily be on the first one, but they seem so obviously into it as a purely physical thing that I'm kind of leaning towards option two.
- That said, Hodgins and Angela being thirteen about the whole thing together was pretty funny.
- The undercover in Vegas episode...dude. Did Booth visit the 40s for that get-up (and that accent)? And did EVERYONE ELSE IN THE BOXING AUDIENCE DO THE SAME THING? I've never seen so many fedoras in one place outside of a noir film. This...strikes me as unrealistic.
- Brennan: "I forgot, you're a degenerate gambler!"
Me: "Did she seriously just call him 'degenerate'?" *falls over laughing*
- Okay, even Brennan is probably not going to go around backstage at a beauty pageant and feel little girls' spines out of nowhere. I know she's out there, but come on.
- Hodgins riling Zack up enough to punch him was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time.
- They stopped the spinny camera of seasickness. Hallelujah. However, they did not stop the "Brennan's imagination recreates the crime for us" thing that I hate. Feh. (I can't decide if the gambling chips and cards being used as transitions in the Vegas episode was awesome or ridiculous.)

Date: 2008-11-16 08:48 am (UTC)Oh imminent peril, what would we do without you?
(Also, is it just me, or is no one really that altruistic about denying themselves a romance because it might eventually end badly and maybe might impact other workplace relationships?
I wouldn't call it "altruism" so much as "cowardliness disguised as altruism"... Then again, workplace status quo is a powerful factor...
*sigh* Just kiss each other already. It'll make you feel less tense.
Um, apparently that's what Cam is for?
My money would ordinarily be on the first one, but they seem so obviously into it as a purely physical thing that I'm kind of leaning towards option two.
Nah, Booth's sluttiness is just a cover for the realization he's already had and is busily denying.
The undercover in Vegas episode...dude.
I was all, "Oh please let them go undercover please... OH YES ALL MY DREAMS HAVE COME TRUE!1! Wait... you guys are TERRIBLE at undercover!" Apparently they missed the part of Fight Club where it was set in the 90s instead of the 40s.
Me: "Did she seriously just call him 'degenerate'?" *falls over laughing*
I love how he left her alone for five minutes and she not only learned how to play poker, but also how to cheat intellectually.
Hodgins riling Zack up enough to punch him was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time.
"I used to wish my biceps were bigger, before I became comfortable with my mental acuity." How could you have ever not been on the train of Zack love? He has such excellent delivery. Every twitch was premeditated.
(I can't decide if the gambling chips and cards being used as transitions in the Vegas episode was awesome or ridiculous.)
Strictly the latter.
