Pretty sure I've read The Time Machine, although it was a long time ago.
I read it in fifth grade, so eight or nine years ago for me. I remember it being heavy on scientific concept but rather light on characters and plot, kind of like Brave New World. Which, since this course counts for Bio credit rather than English, is not necessarily a bad thing.
The Dune books rock - all of them. The first three were the best though.
We're only reading the first one, but I may pick up the others if I like it.
Jurassic Park was much better than the movie.
Good to know.
Red Mars wasn't bad, but I found it pretty slow.
I think I started it, but never finished it. I've heard that it's slow from several people.
Definitely think you're better off picking them up second hand than new though.
Oh, yeah. $3.50 a book versus $12 is much better. I got half of them today, and hopefully will be able to pick up the rest on Saturday.
