Oh, I hear you. I resent the hell out of that stuff, too, and that's why I was going to ignore them. But then I found out that there was a reason to watch them, so I did, and it does make more sense that way. You're missing part of the story if you don't...which brings us right back to the resenting them for doing it that way. Gah. I dunno, I've tried to tell myself that they did "The Face of the Enemy" (which is a title they totally stole from old-school Who) as an afterthought because they realized that they'd left this gaping plot hole and had to fill it somehow. At least then it doesn't feel so "Oh, jaysis, stop making me jump through hoops."
