I have GOT to get out of here.
Feb. 6th, 2009 12:36 pmI went down to the DMV this morning to renew my license. Before I left, when I was deabting which book to take with me, I went with the fun book (Winter's Tale by Mark Helprin; this is my second time through it) rather than one of the things I could read for class and felt really transgressive. I think I actually may have said to myself, "Tee hee! I'm being so bad!"
A LIFE. I need one, stat.

This week's Bones was anvilicious. Not that this is new.
"Maybe I'm here to get you to tell someone you love them"? Oh, please. I guess we'll be seeing that at some point soon. I'm ready for them to get it out in the open and get it over with.
Did like the ghost. He was funny. Kind of sweet, too. Was surprised at who the Gravedigger turned out to be! I figured it would be the novelist, or they just wouldn't find him again. (Definitely thought it would be a him.) Although, uh, do they have evidence to convict her? Brennan seemed to think they didn't. It does seem like they would have to rely on circumstantial evidence. Maybe there will be a trial episode later this season.
I figured Perotta would be a larger presence. Oh, well. I did like that Sweets had only about five lines, and there was no intern. Woo. All we needed was Zack, and it would've been like old times.
I felt so bad for Hodgins all through this. Ouch.
Did anyone else think the music was especially bombastic this time around?

And ENDLESS. Booth went through, like, every Action!Escape!Trope ever! Stuck in a box! Trapped in rising water! Now there's C4! And red wires! And explosions! And helicopter rescues! It was exhausting to watch! (And wasn't that watch of his supposed to be an awesome escape tool? Instead of... a flashlight? And what seven-year-old gets his dad a GPS watch?)
"Maybe I'm here to get you to tell someone you love them"? Oh, please.
Wouldn't it suck to come back from the dead, only to be used as a pawn in neverending UST?
Was surprised at who the Gravedigger turned out to be!
Um, when they revealed it, I was all, "Wait, who are you? Have we even seen you before?" And then Brennan walloped her upside the head with a briefcase?? Lots of Tense!Brennan!RARRRRR! this week...
I definitely thought it was the novelist. All that foreshadowing for nothing!
I did like that Sweets had only about five lines
Yes! They were all, "Sweets! Go away!" and I all, "Yaaaaay!"
All we needed was Zack
That is frequently all we needed. WOE.
I felt so bad for Hodgins all through this. Ouch.
Oh Hodgins, I love your manpain!
