Bones spoilers

I am very confused. Over at bones_spoilers, there's a link to a TV Guide interview with Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz that...appears to give away that Booth and Brennan are very definitely going to wind up together romantically at the end of the season? Like, with no irony or mystery whatsoever? This strikes me as the kind of lunacy in public relations that even FOX wouldn't be caught with, so I'm wondering what the catch is. There is a catch, right? Or have I just misread completely?

Also, Spencer Breslin is guest starring in an episode this spring! (For those who don't remember, he's the psycho kid from Wonderfalls's "Lovesick Ass.")

Heh, I've just recently found much of this out, but the way I've seen spoilers and speculation unfold so far went something like this:

"Hey, fans! Booth and Brennan are gonna be in bed together by the end of the season!"
"Uh huh, like they'll be on a bed? Clothed and stuff?"
"No, really in bed. Like naked!"
"Yeah, so is this a dream? Fantasy? Hypothermia situation? We've been burned before, you know."
"Nope, they're gonna have sex!"
"Really?!"
"And there may be reasons for this sex other than YAY, FUN!"
"..."

I'm surprised at the amount info given away, but I like the massive amounts of crack the show generates/runs on, so I'm going with it. I expect a catch, but all of the potential relationship stumbling blocks I can think of that have been introduced on the show have been quickly become a lack of an issue.

I think I saw something (maybe in Entertainment Weekly?) about Brennan wanting a child and Booth helping with the logistics. I thought it was rather bizarre, and I don't even watch the show that closely.

Hmm...

I'm thinking it has something to do with babies. They've kind of been pushing the kids angle pretty hard this season and last season, and I was pretty much convinced there would be a Booth/Brennan baby after... um... that one episode a few months ago with Daddy Brennan and Parker (one of these days I really should start paying attention to episode names). Which I rambled about here (http://rensong.livejournal.com/1033431.html#cutid1). It's kinda like the writers are trying to get on the good side of those few non Booth/Brennan shippers out there (myself being one of them) by whacking us over the head with adorableness.

This is Hart "I'm going to prolong the UST until everyone HATES ME MWAHAHAHAHA!" Hanson, so I can't imagine there won't be a catch. Something is very fishy here. (And to be honest, I'm still sort of irritated with both characters at the moment, and would prefer to start liking them again before they get together.)

Brennan is one of those people who shouldn't even have a CAT, much less a child. I've heard this rumor before, but it's so insane that I couldn't bring myself to believe it.

I have noticed the baby angle as well, and I hear that they're planning to have some weird-ass "Brennan wants a baby and Booth helps with the conception thereof" storyline, which, frankly, will make me stop watching the show if it happens. Brennan wouldn't even be able to take care of a PET, much less a kid.

Though, knowing how some writers these days like to think, I would not be at all surprised if there were all these "Baaaaby!" rumors being spread on purpose, and then do something completely and totally different that leave the fans going either "Holy shit!" or "What the fuck?" or some variant there of.
