I promise you that nothing from the YA fantasy book I'm writing came from LOTR. It's not that kind of fantasy book, for one. And since I'm not really a big fantasy fan (though I'm more tolerant of it visually than on the page), it's just not part of my world. I liked the movies, but that was enough. I couldn't get past the second page of Fellowship.
