Really? I was thinking we met when I was still in school and taking writing classes, but maybe it was the summer after. Anyway, it was kind of a mild focus; a poetry workshop, two fiction workshops, and a collection of ten poems submitted in lieu of a senior thesis of 10-12 pages. Then there were the credit equivalent of twelve other literature classes, I think, plus the big bad test over the senior reading list. Sometimes I wish I'd gone onto the creative writing track here, but then again, I don't really like writing creatively to deadlines, and that's all you do when you take workshops. *shrug*
It makes me quite happy to read your thoughts about both dissecting and creating texts (and analyzing your own creation), though.
