Claire's surety of a reason behind Trevor's delusion does seem to give more credence to the "he's not Cupid" position, though; I seem to recall she didn't really have such a fully-formed theory in the original, or at least she didn't by this point in the series.
In general, the 'he's not Cupid' position got more support this time around. Which made A sad. :(
What I liked about that in the original series was that you could read the bead moving as either D/M or Claire/Trevor; it's more obviously D/M this time around, though.
