Y'all, my pedagogy paper is just...I...yeah. At least there are only...three, I think, spots left where I have a big line of asterisks indicating that I wrote myself into a corner I couldn't get out of. That's something.

However, we got a two-day extension on the Victorian paper, which is wonderful. I should have slightly more hair left by May 1st now.

This week's Castle was awesome. Best bits:

- Fencing! Castle and his daughter have so much fun together. I just smile watching them.

- I love how Beckett is totally slipping into Castle family life against her better intentions. Alexis seems totally taken with her. So does Martha, for that matter. Speaking of the family, I wonder if his new, and perhaps well-founded, concern for their safety is going to show up again--that might make an interesting reoccuring plot feature. It might even be interesting to see him expand the protectiveness to Beckett, who of course would quickly shoot him down.

- Esposito, Ryan, and, uh, their boss-whose-name-I-still-haven't-learned reeling off slang for "suspect" and Castle writing them all down was hilarious.

- Castle being able to shoot was totally telegraphed, but I loved that scene anyway. Stana Katic plays flummoxed-but-hiding-it so very well.

- Castle is such a cocky bastard, but a hilarious one. Poor Kate. But she obviously finds it funny--she just doesn't want to encourage him.

- It's a little convenient that Beckett and the ME/only other female on the show are best friends, but I enjoyed the picking-out-dresses scene anyway.

- "You aren't...?"
"Not yet."
"No. Never, Castle, never."

- "Where was the badge?"
"Don't ask."

- There was a bachelor auction! HA!

- Castle pretending to be a cop in the car. HEE. And then they had the voiceover of him humming (I assume it's a cop show theme?) and Beckett telling him to knock it off. BWAH.

Oh, ABC, please don't cancel this show. It doesn't take itself seriously at all, and it's utterly charming. I need this in my life.
