Random urge
Apr. 24th, 2009 01:59 pmOh, Hulu. It's wonderful that there are lots of older shows on there free for me to watch, really, it is. It's just...sometimes almost more annoying when they have part of a series rather than nothing at all. It's like it's that much closer before being ripped out away.
(This post brought to you by a sudden jonesing for an episode of Forever Knight featuring Vachon. What the hell, brain, I haven't even thought of that show for a decade now.)
(This post also brought to you because I used up all my writing mojo last night and can't quite figure out how to get into my Victorian paper.)

Date: 2009-04-24 09:00 pm (UTC)Um... "Jannette asks Nick for help in investigating the murder of a friend which leads Nick into the bizarre world of prostitution." I don't remember that episode. I may have to investigate further. ;D

Date: 2009-04-24 11:08 pm (UTC)Neither did I until last night. I'm a bit afraid to watch any of them--it's bound to be even cheesier than I remember.
I don't remember that episode.
I...don't either. Although then again, the only episodes I do remember are the finale and whichever two or three before it kill of every major character except LaCroix, and the one where Nick is "cured" for a time and gets to go joyriding in the sunlight. I remember that one as being so sad at the end--Nick & Nat were so close to be able to...have relations...and then, poof, the vampirism came back. Awww.

I've done my best to block out the last few episodes. I remember Janette being awesome, Tracy being uberCanadian, and that Valentine's Day (?) episode where Nick and Nat nearly go on a date but then LaCroix has a hissy fit because Nick didn't let LC date/eat his sister ages ago. Was Nick's "cure" the time he got shot in the head? Or was the one with the creepy daydream Nick has of Nat getting pregnant?
Tarzan and Maldis!

Date: 2009-04-27 03:11 am (UTC)Perhaps? I actually watched a couple third season episodes, and it's not nearly as cheesy as I feared. Well, mostly.

That's a good plan. My personal canon doesn't include them.
Tracy being uberCanadian
OhmiGAWD, yes. She actually sounds almost Minnesotan, she's so Canadian.

Ohhh, yeah, that one. I remember loving that one. I can't remember if they ever do get to go on their date or if I just read so many fic postscripts to it with a date that I've revised the episode in my head.
Was Nick's "cure" the time he got shot in the head?
I think it involved science of some kind. A new protein shake? I don't remember a shooting, anyway.
Or was the one with the creepy daydream Nick has of Nat getting pregnant?
...I don't remember THAT at all. Details?
HEE!
Oh, SC2K2...

I did too. I'm pretty sure they didn't go on their date, since LC did his mindwipe on her.
...I kind of want a fictional forensic pathologist convention so Nat, Scully, Jordan, and Cam can all talk about how dating sucks. And possibly get really, really drunk.

Ohhh, right! I think getting shot in the head just made him forget he was a vampire.
Wow, that sounded weird.

I think it was during the episode where they did really mean things to someone who said she was Janette. I refuse to believe that was Janette, because Janette is still awesome. And not on fire or whatever the hell. Anyway, he has a brief vision of Nat telling him that she knows the cure worked because she's pregnant.
Oh, SC2K2...
I miss those crazy times.

Date: 2009-04-27 04:30 pm (UTC)Good choice. (One of the S3 episodes I watched was "Fever," the one with vampire AIDS. Such bad, baaad science.)

Awwwww.

THIS. I read a fic once about a girls' only poker circle that crossed Nat, Scully, and I think a couple other people from other shows. It wasn't a doctors-only thing, though. But there was talk of exasperating men, and lots of drinking.
Ohhh, right! I think getting shot in the head just made him forget he was a vampire.
Another one I have absolutely no memory of...

Huh. No memory of this whatsoever.

Me too. We should have another con.
