Did anyone not immediately figure out exactly how they were going to re-jigger the footage to tell an entirely different story, even down to what lines of dialogue they would use where? And then the reporter got all sanctimonious about just reporting the news, not making it, and YEAH, WE GET IT. *rolls eyes*)
Remember, this was all on TV before a stolen election, eight years of secrecy and war, and a news network devoted to the continuation of same. It wasn't all that long ago that people still believed what they saw on the news without needing a heavy dose of cynicism to get through it all.
