I want to know how I avoided that book for so long. OMG SO GOOD. (And, well, disturbing at the end, rather, but...in a good way? A necessary way, at any rate.)

Also, I think doing the movie version of Contact and contrasting with The Sparrow is an inspired idea and I heartily approve.

Hurrah! Yeah, I was totally thinking as I read the book, "This is what Contact might have been with Palmer Joss as the main character rather than Ellie. ZOMG."
