I did exactly the same thing a few weeks ago! It's amazing what I can hear now!
There are drums on my favorite Patty Griffin song! I did not know this!
Um, perhaps we should replace our headphones more often...
Perhaps? I was tempted by the earbuds for small ears I saw at Target, but decided I was too conventional for that and went with the regular headset flavor. Which I will perhaps replace sooner than 2019.
Ha, you discovered Spaced too? I've only made it through the first few episodes so far, and... yeah, it's not quite doing it for me. Fits and starts. But if it truly does get better as it goes along... perhaps I'll stick with it.
The one with the zombies was a definite movement in the right direction, and then the one where they rescue their dog totally sold me on it. I mean...it's still a show that would probably be better processed under the influence of psychoactive drugs, but I enjoy it. And the end of the season finale was really cute.
I hear the DVDs have an "Homage-O-Meter" in the subtitles that I will have to check out when S2 ships. (Alas, I had already packed up my S1 DVD before I read that...but I think I got most of them anyway.) Perhaps it would help explain some of the more surreal bits?
