(...because my advisor hasn't finished reading my proposal yet? Still?
...you had to have a proposal? (I hear other people in my department have had to do proposals or prospecti, but I didn't. My advisor and I just sort of chatted at intervals while I was researching, and then I said, "Uh, I think I could start writing now," and he was cool with it.)
This is the same professor who took two months to return a two-page paper to a class of twelve people.
Oh, that reminds me, I should totally ask for my Joyce paper back. (I was supposed to get it in May. Um. I remembered back in July, but she had a baby right around that time, so I felt bad asking her for it.)
I'm sure you have many reasons to be a legend among first-year MAs. :D
Legendary for my nerdiness, perhaps...
I'm sure they'd rather hear you talk than listen to their classmates.
But usually the point isn't that they learn new information, it's that they apply concepts and analysis techniques to texts, you know? (BTW, I can't remember an English class where the teacher talked more per period than the students since...maybe sophomore year of high school? Perhaps middle school?)
Fail!
Massive fail. At least it was actually a bound periodical, of which I needed seven articles. I just used up a big chunk of my copier allotment this afternoon, but at least I have the stuff I need in my permanent possession.
