I held my last student conference earlier this afternoon. HUZZAH. At least until the end of next month, when I have to do another round.

Oh, that was hilarious. Lots of good quotes:

- "...descend on New York like locusts. Only, locusts eat."

- "She was stabbed with the Washington Monument?"

- "Nobody murdered anyone in Showgirls. I hear."

This is either the second or third time this season we've seen Alexis and Martha rehearsing a scene together. I wonder if that's building toward something or if it's just background.

More layers to the Beckett onion! Loved that Ryan and Esposito, and not Castle this time, managed to figure out her modeling past (by calling her dad!).

Castle and Beckett are so cute with their banter.

Castle: Is that why you've been so upset? Because I let her read it before you?
Beckett: I am the inspiration. I should be reading it before a reporter does.
Castle: Why didn't you just say so?
Beckett: Why didn't you just give it to me?
Castle: Why didn't you ask?
Beckett: Why didn't it occur to you?
Castle: ...You'll have it by tomorrow.

HA. How married are they?

Also, I read at TWOP that once Beckett reads the end of Heat Wave's Chapter 9, she's gonna blow a gasket, so of course I had to read it at ABC's site. And I can only say that I am much in agreement, and I really, REALLY want to see that scene. Next episode? Please?

Actually, they have released the whole thing. Nathan Fillion was signing copies at a bookstore out in California last week.

I have heard this, and yes, the series sounds awful. And yet I may still have to check it out.
