Oh, God... There's a shocking amount of fanfic that's actually better than a good percentage of published fiction. So, so sad.

Amen! And it is very sad, because fanfic writers are ridiculed to the ends of the earth and some are more talented than all those 'famous' writers. ::rolls eyes::

All the really crappy fic probably doesn't help though, huh?
