There's a dialect in the midwest somewhere--the locus seems to be in Michigan--that pronounces "egg" with the vowel from "ache" (rather than the "eh" in Standard American). "Feggen" ("Faeggen"?) makes slightly more sense to me as a pun on "egg" if I think of it as being pronounced that way, so I'm thinking the writer might be one of those people from that area. (It still doesn't make much sense, but slightly more.)

Clearly the first five minutes of this episode were full of awesome. Figures. May have to Hulu and rewatch.
