We're talking "I just read 'Prufrock' and 'The Wasteland' for the first time about a month ago"-level ignorance here. I just read the Norton introduction to Eliot a few minutes ago (and found it supremely unhelpful for what I'm trying to do). There is no way this is going to go well unless I can wrest the topic back from the abyss it's falling down.
