For those not from the south, any time snow is forecast, everyone down here--and I do mean everyone--rushes out to the grocery store to stock up on bread and milk.
You know, I think I am going to start a campaign to explain to the entire planet that people do this EVERYWHERE. It is not regional! I know this because not only do they do it in Pennsylvania where I grew up, and probably around here, but also because every year on LJ I read about a dozen comments just like this from all over the country. Everyone thinks it's unique to them, only it's not!
