I'd actually recommend the Muppet Show comic pretty highly. It captures the flavor of the show beautifully, while making it work for the new medium: there's a framing story in each issue with the behind-the-scenes goings on at the theatre, while the sketches are presented as one-page comics, almost webcomic style. The classics are all in there--Pigs in Space, the one-liner dances, etc. Good gags and the characters are spot on. And, Ninja Rogers.
