I think I may have mistakenly implied that you in particular would find the book difficult to read--sorry about that! I'm sure you wouldn't have any problems. It's just that Gallafent was obviously writing to an audience of film studies students/professors, and the style could get irritating if one wasn't interested in reading something slanted like that.

Lately I have wanted to read something more focused on characters and plots and I think that, after read what you said in your review, this could be a book I would enjoy reading.

Oh, you'll definitely like it, then. I found it quite different from the usual books out there on F&G.
