Maybe the characters actually meant "dancing off to the side of the clock, near the info booth, but it's easier to say 'under the clock' than 'some unspecified number of feet away from the clock'"?
Sure, except for the part where it's not only impossible but makes absolutely no sense since the clock isn't even much taller than me? If this were a show from another country, or that was set in another place, they could get away with it, but no joke, ANYONE who has ever set foot in GC would react the same way I did. They just basically blew off all of New York in spite of the fact that the show is supposedly set there. It's sort of like saying that Big Ben is bright red and was installed yesterday.
