I don't really watch Bones seriously anymore. The plotholes have gotten too large, and the breaks in character too sudden. Instead, I pretend it's a series of fics written by different authors with different takes on the canon that just happened to be filmed and shown on FOX.

Ha! That's a good way to go about it. Personally, I just wound up finding it completely dull somewhere in S4, and then the proverbial last straw was that episode where Sweets literally showed his scars. ACK. I had hated Sweets since he showed up; that was it for me.
