I don't know Wit, alas (should snag it from Netflix one of these bright days), but the Gorecki? Oh mother of god. That whole piece is phenomenal, but the second...jaysis. The Dawn Upshaw recording came out while I was in college, which is how I first heard it. A friend was playing it when I went to visit and I don't think either of us said a word for quite a while, even after it was finished.
