Huck and Liz are an adorable couple, that kind of characters that steal your heart and, in Roberta, they stole the whole movie.
When they start shooting the breeze in the "I'll be hard to handle' number,talking about their past, one wants to know more about how they met or how their relationship was back in those years when they were together and, with your fic, we get a wonderful and beliable image of what it could have been.
As always, the characters are very well writen, in canon, as if the fic was part of the script that was never used. I particulary liked this part:
[...]The phonograph wound down as he stared at her, a hundred words on the tip of his tongue.
"Huck," she said, a strange expression on her face. "Are you..."
He suddenly knew what to do for the ending.
Haha, the way you break the romantic tension with sudden Huck's inspiration made me laugh and not only because it was funny, no, because I thought "Yeah, that's what Huck would do".
Other part that I liked, too, was the part of Liz being the one asking for a kiss. It suits her bold personality perfectly.
