As for the fic, all I can say is that if you keep referring to it like this, I may actually be forced to dig out the copy of Ulysses that has been taunting me from my bookshelf for the last several years and attempt to read it. Every time you mention it I feel guiltier for avoiding it.
Bwahahaha. Always a good thing! If you make it through without the benefit of a class, I will officially salute you. Although I do love it, and Joyce in general, I could never have finished that monster without a class forcing me to. (P.S. I think you'd especially enjoy "Oxen of the Sun," in particular the beginning. He spends the entire chapter writing in the style of various periods of English literature, from Anglo-Saxon onward.)
