Damn you, now when I get back to my rewatch I will discover that Sheridan is TOTALLY SUPERFLUOUS.
Bwahahahaha! I dunno about superfluous (although, not gonna lie, sometimes I feel that way), since, hey, they could have divided things up so one of them got the civil war and one got the Shadow war. That might have actually made more sense on the show, or at least reduced Sheridan's stress level...
I love how well-matched they are (I was sold at the sparring-in-the-gym scene)
Oh, fantastic. One of the things that really attracts me to this pairing is indeed how much a set of equals they are, and I hoped I had gotten that across in the fic. (The sparring scene was so much fun to write.) rivendellrose and I have been complaining recently about how Sheridan always seems to be surprised by each new Minbari quirk of Delenn's, and apparently never even learns her language--granted, he's still mourning his last wife, and not really figuring out that Delenn is even flirting with him for a while, but still--and IMO, Susan would be Doing The Research and after she got over the weirdness of being attracted to a (half-)Minbari, really into Figuring Her Out. Of course, being good at ferreting out information does lead to unpleasant surprises like, oh, the whole bit where Delenn kind of started the war...
I love how completely I believe that Susan would be able to carry the war and all those speeches she'd need to make.

And I am so, so ridiculously glad that they both get a happy ending. If ever any two characters deserved one.
Eeee. Yes. I want it so badly for them.
