Yeah, I guess it is mostly Sheridan there. And while the idea of Delenn pulling the "of course I'm on birth control/we can't have kids" trick kind of horrifies me, I...can also see her doing it for exactly the reason you suggest.

(I will admit that Sheridan recording that message for his unborn kid because he's not going to see said kid live past eighteen brings me really, really close to tears. The reduced lifespan is far and away the aspect of Sheridan's character that makes me sympathize with him the most.)
