Sometimes it's nice not to think too hard...

To be fair, the show (as with all of Abrams's shows, to generalize from my Alias experience) doesn't like to think too hard either. Why is Peter even still around? How is he allowed to go on field missions? His "translating for my father because I'm smart" thing is complete BS. Harris...seriously, the dude would not even have a government job after a stint in jail, much less be allowed to investigate the woman who put him away. And I'm not even touching all the joke science...
