Dec. 17th, 2010 02:27 pmIt figures: a couple months after I start using Delicious for more than three bookmarks a month, Yahoo starts shutting the site down. *sigh*
ETA: Or not?
In better internet news, the Archive of Our Own now has what is essentially a Like button! This is very exciting! If I can't think of anything to say beyond, "I enjoyed reading this," it'll be nice to be able to just click a button.
In completely different news, my Christmas present this year is a Panasonic Lumix FZ40 camera. It has a 24x zoom. If I knew how to make sparkly letters, I would do so, because it is an awesome zoom. (I will be able to take pictures of birds from MILES away!) Also, the Leica lens is very nice. And it has SO MANY FEATURES, OMG. I think there are about fifty different scenes or modes, from the regular sepia/b&w/sports/landscape/etc. to really cool stuff like "pinhole camera" and "film grain" and "starry sky." There are modes for taking a portrait or other photo inside, outside, at night in both conditions, and about a million other things. I can manually set any quality I want, too.
Oooh, and it does HD video at about the same level of quality as a budget video camera! Now I just need something to make a video of.
...hmmm. You know, since I live in Nashville, I wonder if there are any bands broke enough to want someone with only a semester of Digital/Video Art to make them a music video for the low low price of free. Probably not.
Anyway. Dearest flist/circle! Now that I have this camera, I need things to take pictures/video of. Give me suggestions? Anything you can think of.
