one of the nicest things about dS, from a fic-writing perspective anyway, is that any number of endings are plausible

It's the first fandom I've been in in which the characters have no canon arc to speak of. The relationships don't even develop very much - Fraser and (either Ray) are close from their first few adventures together. Usually when there's an arc I have all kinds of Complicated Theories about how that arc can/should play out five, ten, whatever years in the future, but here the field is wide open.

"Priorities: Be with Meg, compromise to make us both happy, and avoid implications of sexual harassment/abuse of power for either of us."

I can so see him making a list of those priorities in order. He's so cute and organized.

Y'know, I am always filled with annoyance towards male protagonists of shows, they're almost never written in a way I like. I figured Fraser got an exemption through the Paul Gross Awesome Field (since I liked Geoffrey Tennant as well), but it could also be the Lennier thing. But I am rather fond of him, and you write him in a way that plays up whatever it is that I find so likeable.
