Heh. There's a good show in there! I can see it! It's just buried under layers of bad right now. But at least they seem to be chipping away the bad in bits and pieces. It is, at least, so very much better than that other crime show, in which Janeane Garofalo is wasting herself, that I tried to watch this weekend.
It actually reminds me a bit of S1 Bones. Not as funny, but Dana Delaney can do the serious aspects she's given muuuuuch better than Emily Deschanel. And the guy who's vaguely in Booth's position is actually likable. These people concentrate on the case more than the funny or the character-relevant, though, which is unfortunate, because the cast is fantastic and the characters look like they would be really interesting if they could get out from under the murder of the week. (Or maybe that's just me. Please, TV gods, can we stop with the damn procedurals and get back to character dramas?)
