I liked that the asshole brother turned out to be the one good guy remaining in the family, too.

I was totally convinced he was the killer! I thought the sister was the red herring (sooooo red!), but no...

His reeling off of the symptoms and treatment for whatever disease the victim had, only to reveal he was reading from the iPad, was obvious but still really cute.

"I'm on the internet!" Awwww!

Uh, is Apple paying some kind of product placement fee for this show?

They must. There are just way too many gratuitous iPads to be a coincidence. When you can't show a colleague x-rays without an iPad, you know you've got a problem.

The only thing about the investigative parts I didn't care for was Megan's judgy-judging at the funeral at the end. I get that she's blunt, and the mother was heinous, but really, this is getting so old.

Um, I was a little bothered that the mother was mentally ill to the point of contributing to her kid's death, yet Megan decided to tell her she was a monster rather than try to get the woman some sort of help. That Munchausen's is not just gonna disappear because her daughter's dead.

Megan, you're inspecting the body for signs of murder. WEAR SOME GLOVES.

Maybe she took the quick version of ME school, and they skipped over the gloves/hair net chapters?

I bet that really is her plan. No, really. REALLY. I'm serious.

I'm sure it's crossed her mind more than once. Although I like how she went from being (incompetent) Bad Cop at home to being Insane Cop at work. Oh, Megan, you are a woman of many roles.

I don't quite buy that Kate would find Todd worth all the inevitable drama. Whyyyyyyyy??? Total sleazeball!! (And that gold chain thing plus gratuitous chest hair gave me a skeezy used-car salesman vibe. Ick.)

Peter's, "Well, the only reason you should hate it is if you still have feelings for him, HINT HINT,"

"What's wrong with the people in this office as dating material? I think that's fine! Totally fine! It's good that he's moving on! Maybe you should move on too! HERE HERE I'M OVER HERE!!!" Lol.

Actually, she seemed most angry about the fact that it had been going on for five weeks and no one had thought to inform her, which I can understand. I'll go with that reason.

That, and Todd is playing in her sandbox and stealing her toys. Maybe he got all of their friends on his side in the divorce?

Oh, Megan. When Todd said, "It's been five years; you can't tell me you've been a nun," I'm pretty sure we ALL figured out from her expression that she had. Poor baby.

Yeeahhhhh. Ouch.

are there any twelve-year-olds who are that considerate to their mothers during sensitive situations like that?

I think Lacey would make much more sense as a sixteen-year-old. She's just way too precocious for twelve.

at least it was renewed! Yaaaaaaaaay!

Yaaaaaaaay!
