icepixie: ([Burn Notice] Mike Fi thought bomb)

Not as good as last week, IMO (but really, what could be?), but not bad. The twist was GREAT.

- I like the whole PTSD thing Michael's going through. Certainly everything that's happened to him over the past four years should have a major effect on his psyche. I'm not entirely sure, though, why Fiona was so insistent that he shred the documents. To save his fragile psyche, yes, okay, but even I could tell there were loose ends left after "Company Man," and if I can tell, then they're really obvious. Pulling those threads might save his ass, and she should be all for that. (I was also headdesking a little at her taking on the role of nagging girlfriend right after the episode where they decide to move in together, but it was a minor headdesking, because Fiona is of course too awesome to stay in that role for long before she goes back to planting evidence and dropping out of windows.)

- "At this rate, they should be married by sixty." Heh heh.

- Speaking of domesticity, I'm enjoying Fi and Mike's version of it. Instead of redecorating, Fi buys a paper shredder. And she laid the irony on "Have a good day at work, honey," so thick that I think you could make steel out of it. Hee!

- "You may recall that I've done this a couple times." Bwahahaha. Yeah, in my extremely limited firsthand experience watching grandparents, parents, and babies interact, that sounds right on the nose. Especially for Maddie.

- *sporfle* at Nate's suggestion to turn the Charger into a "spymobile" that belches smoke at the push of a button. "Do you know what happens to smoke at sixty miles per hour? It dissipates." And Michael is ever practical about it all.

- Sam is so gleeful about Elsa calling him her "boytoy." I'm torn between being amused and disturbed.

- "Half of you is better than all of most people." Aw, Nate. You, too, have turned into a much, much more likeable character than you were in S1.

- Mike managed to make Nate's clothing look even cheesier than Nate does. I'm impressed.

- "You'll sleep easier...unless I keep you up." Aw. Domestic bliss. :D

- "Trey is leaving." *snort*

- Awww, Jesse could only help them on his lunch hour! Poor boy. I actually missed him during this episode.

- I had no idea the guy they were setting up to look like a cop was really going to be one until they took the picture down and found the patched-up wall, and even then I still thought it might be a safe or something that was incriminating but still definitely marked him as a bad guy. And I loved Michael immediately jumping to fix the mess they'd caused.

- Free yogurt for life! This should go down in history along with all those free cellphones as "the best reward for a job ever."
