Last week was definitely exposition-heavier, and the case didn't have a whole lot to do with the arc

...To be fair, last week's case had more to do with the arc than this one did--at least, I assume the skinjob shapeshifters are going to be important later on--and yet this one felt much more important. I think maybe it was that this one felt more emotionally important? I dunno. Better, though!

(Cyan/Pink? btw, "cyan" = adorable)

I was quite pleased with that.

Nice that they had Broyles explain that "science division" is working on it, but...

Oh, I missed that totally. At least they gave a nod to it; that makes me feel better.

I'm surprised Astrid and Olivia aren't pushing him about it, though.

Maybe they don't yet know how fragile things are? Although we saw a big ambered-over patch in Pink Universe, so presumably things are still pretty dire.

Eh, I didn't really see that. Remember Blue!Walter's rant about Fauxlivia? This was basically a repeat of it, minus the Evil Vagenda.

Maybe...honestly, I don't remember it very well. Large chunks of the previous seasons are a bit of a blur to me. /o\ (If I hadn't canceled my Netflix subscription, I might rewatch! I think I missed a lot of details in my marathoning of the first 2.25 seasons.)

I love that this implies Walter's mnemonic for Lincoln is "the assassinated one." I hope that wasn't foreshadowing!

I...could live with that, actually. This Lincoln's never made much of an impression on me.

I get the impression that this is one of a long string of prods.

I got the same impression. My headcanon for Astrid is that she has a long-term girlfriend, and just wants Olivia to be happy like she is.

I too read our!Lincoln as a bit gay, possibly because of the parallels they drew between Lincoln/Robert and Olivia/John Scott.

That might have been part of it, yeah. My gaydar was definitely going off, however they actually intended it.

And alt!Lincoln/amber!livia... yeah, I see that coming, too.

I think it would be kind of hilarious if Pink!Lincoln tries to come on to Cyan!Olivia, and she's just like, "Sorry, you're cute, but no." And then he could rage against the universe because no Olivia will love him.

They fall so gracefully, and land with little "plink"s! Seriously, why can't Castle be more like this?

It would be so nice if they could!

Wait, what? I didn't hear that!

People at TWOP suggest that what was they actually said was that Faux was over in Cyanverse to get the other parts of the machine that were buried, and she/Fringe Division built it over on their side. Which still doesn't explain how the bridge was created. What I want to know is, do they know how it was made, or are they as clueless as we are?

That was TAUNTING. And then the smirk! So evil! I love it!

She's such a twit. But for some reason, I kind of enjoy her as a twit.

I KNOW, RIGHT?? And when Lincoln went to get Fauxlivia and found them together, you could see his eyes flick between them for a split second, but then he was all, "Aha! This one!" without them having to say anything.

Because it is totally obvious!

And Fauxlivia's little grump!flail out of her jacket buttons was just perfect.

Hehehehe, yes. "I WILL NOT BE CONSTRAINED BY YOUR STRANGE BUSINESS WEAR!" Did poor Ourlivia have to go out and buy an identical suit for her doppelganger? Or did the/the FBI buy two suits special just for that assignment?
