That last scene between Walter and Peter was a neat reversal of Peter disowning Walter after he discovered the 1987 switcheroo, but, but... STOP DISOWNING EACH OTHER, GUYS. I CAN'T DEAL WITH THIS.

SERIOUSLY. JUST LOVE EACH OTHER, GUYS, THAT'S ALL I WANT.

"Who sleeps like this???" Aww, Olivia's turned into Peter!

She kinda has! And Lincoln is in some ways like Olivia. Remember she was eager to go into the tank and Peter was like, "Do I need to remind you my dad's been IN A MENTAL INSTITUTE for the past seventeen years?" Now Lincoln's the eager one and Olivia's the skeptic.

End result: awwwwwwww! John Noble is just amazing.

Get him a truckful of Emmys, stat!

Yay!! I half-expected Peter to slip into that conversation, "They bleed mercury when you shoot them in the head. Oh, and would you like me to murder them for you? Because I've gotten pretty good at that!"

Or at least for someone to ask him how he knows all this, and him to be like, "Well, see, I kinda went through a violent period last year..."

I think after his initial shock at the hospital, he's switched into Con Man/Emotional Shut-Down Mode. He's had practice dealing with Olivias and Walters who are not His Olivia And Walter, after all. He definitely flinched a couple times when he looked at Olivia, though.

Yeah, he does seem to think that he might have just wound up in another universe that is neither Blue nor Red. Which I suppose he technically could have, although the time slips suggest otherwise.

Probably once he established that she didn't remember him, he shifted his focus onto "WHERE'S WALTER I NEED WALTER HE WILL FIX OLIVIA'S BRAIN FOR ME!!"

Awwwww!

Bwuh?? Is that what the Agent Jill thing was about??

I think so. They made a point of showing the empty desk after Olivia had set the files on it from the first Jill, and if she were a shifter, the files from the first encounter would still be there. (Unless she was a ninja thief, I suppose, but that seems unlikely.) Plus there were time shifts in the last episode when Peter was around in spectral and blue energy ball form, so I'm thinking this is a continuation of those incidents.

If they're just copying DNA, though, you'd think they'd lack various scars and damages picked up over the years that wouldn't be copied along with DNA...

*cough cough I think we're supposed to handwave that cough*

The look on Lincoln's face after Olivia's exposition was pretty great, too.

Heh, true.

Peter is almost as bad at being held captive as Olivia!

Holding either of them captive always ends in tears for the other person!

Bwah! Mulder would also have immediately referred to a giant killer brain-creature as Gus!

Of course he would've!

Maybe both Peters' deaths made Walter AND Bell more cautious and self-doubtful?

Perhaps? I'm still going with "diversion to get Pearlmutter off the project," though.

Yeah, when he was comparing himself to Walternate? Maybe back when he was reinventing amber? I forget exactly which episode.

The Amber one sounds right. I think that was "6B," which I watched recently.

At one point she was walking around with her jacket unbuttoned! It's like we don't even know her anymore!!

But she told Fauxlivia that she buttons her jacket! STAY CONSISTENT, OLIVIA! THERE ARE DOPPELGANGERS ABOUT!
