The B plot, though...what the hell was that? The net effect was to leave Steve thinking Pete and Myka are irresponsible jerks, which--unless they're planning an arc where he turns against the Warehouse team and perhaps joins up with whatever forces of evil Southern Sally works for because he thinks the inmates are running the asylum in South Dakota--seems pointless.

Not only that - Pete was seriously harassing Steve by baring his chest. I wonder if there's a new team of writers who think that Pete's a sexually aggressive jerk, 'cuz he's sure been acting like it lately.

were they really just making fun of the cliche that partners of the opposite sex always fall into bed and/or in love?

I'd like to think so. I agree about Pete having a small crush on Myka, but I don't think it's anything he'd really want to act on.
