Hooray, things are sucking less! I still wasn't as into the episode as I wanted to be, but it's a big step up from recent ones. I really liked seeing the Lincolns interact, and the two universes working together. Wish they'd done more of that this season.
Although I AM SAD THAT THEY KILLED RED!LINCOLN. I've never been a huge Lincoln fan, but of the two, HE WAS MY FAVORITE. And now I'm sure we'll get Amber!Lincoln/Red!Olivia, which...whatever, I don't really care. I like the idea of a transuniverse romance, but if Amber!Linc is, like, moving to Redverse and everything is hunky-dory, then that makes it a lot less interesting.
The theme of Amber!Linc finding a place to belong was mirrored nicely in the shapeshifter's story, but...I dunno, I think I would've found it much more gripping had it happened earlier in the season or had it happened to another character. Amber!Linc just sucks all the interest out of the plot for me, okay? (So I'm glad we won't have to see him in Blueverse for what seems like it'll be a while. If nothing else, this episode did that for me!)
I would love to know what made the two Lincolns so different, though. I wonder if they're going to explore that more as the season ends.
It was nice seeing evil Red!Nina again, even if she didn't get to do much.
Random observations: Redverse has videopaper! Awesome! Also, was that a poster for travel to the USSR that I saw at the very beginning, when the near-victim was walking to her car?
Hmm. Yeah, I just...don't have much to say about this one.
