Flying Fruffalooooooo!

Hey, fiara? You remember the comic we had in high school, right? Do you know who has it now? Or, failing that, do you remember the characters? The "normal" ones are just for my own amusement, but I also wanna remember what other made-up animal we had besides the flying fruffaloo. I'm using that as one of my animals in my bio webproject about the ecology of another planet, except it isn't flying.

Am having serious trouble with names for the aforementioned project. If anyone knows of a site that generates alien plant/animal species names, or just can come up with some off the top of their heads, I'd be much obliged. At the moment, I have the fruffaloo (a furry herd animal that's a cross between a sheep and an antelope, but bigger), a tabletree (tall and wide), wildfire plant (spreads all over the place because of an extensive root system underground and has red flowers), and managrassas (the local equivalent of grass and clover). Yeah, guess who's been reading far too much Civil War stuff for history. I have some other animals and plants that are as yet nameless, and they really could use 'em.

I actually have the comic. Somewhere in my house...probably on my desk. I have a painting of the Disenchanted Penguin on my desk right now. Hehe. Lemme think. I'm trying to find my scanned copies of it. Now that you asked I can't remember any of the other made-up animals.

I actually found scanned copies of the first two pages on my hard drive, but the only characters are the penguin, otter, and mongoose (and Mulder and the giant box of cocaine-laced Girl Scout cookies). I remember the Maladjusted Poodle coming in towards the end, but I can't remember what the other characters were.

Meg reminded me of the Lummox. I remember it as a shaggy yak/sheep type mix. And it had a large nose and floppy ears.
